Wallpaper We’re Loving Now

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know I just finished a refresh of my downstairs bathroom….and I can’t believe I waited so long! I hadn’t touched that bathroom since we moved in and, until I did this refresh, I didn’t appreciate how boring it was. The wallpaper I chose has made all the difference. A space that was previously ho-hum is now fun and energetic. Chris says he wants a margarita every time he goes in there. Haha, I take that as a win.

It took me a LONG time to find wallpaper I really loved. Every time I found one I thought I liked online, the sample would arrive and the colors would be dull and uninspiring. Needless to say, I scoured through endless pages of wallpaper and am sharing my favorites. (If you like tropical inspired décor these will be right up your alley.) I gravitate towards designs that I feel like I could get lost in, ones that engage my imagination or transport me to another time or place. That’s not to much to ask for from wallpaper, is it? 😉

It can be so easy to get caught in the trap of what’s popular or what influencers on social media are showing in their homes….but those things aren’t always right for us. I usually ask myself, will this make my soul happy? Or, am I just considering it because I see it everywhere I look? The power of repetitive suggestion is real! Above all, our homes (and the things we put in our homes) should make us happy, they should feel right. So, if you happen to be a fan of eclectic, British Colonial, mid-century, jungle or southern inspired décor then this list might be the one you’re looking for.

1.

This wallpaper makes me think of a cottage on Nantucket, decorated with classic blue and white. A little splash of fun without being over the top.

Fireworks Wallpaper
Fireworks, Blue on White

2.

I know this design is popular, I’ve seen it all over social media but I like it! It reminds me of a mid-century wallpaper and also gives me nostalgia for a wallpaper we had in my childhood home.

Angelina, Navy

3.

This wallpaper comes in a variety of colors, I think it would be perfect for a child’s room or a small bathroom. Gives me Southern vibes, especially in the coral or pink.

Gingham, Navy

4.

Now this one, oh, I just can’t get enough. It makes me imagine tropical vacations in the 50’s and discovering new places in a cute summer dress. This is the one I have in my bathroom. I bought every sample except the pink and each color was 100% accurate.

La Via Loca, Palm Green

5.

I’m a sucker for leafy wallpaper but some of the styles have been so over done. This one is elegant and the grasscloth texture and more earthy tones would be just right in a British Colonial inspired room.

Majesty Palm, Green

6.

Retro Miami vibes with this one. Sunshine-y and fresh, makes me think of crystal clear pools and screened in porches.

Palm Shuffle, Key Lime

7.

This is a perfect playful print to add some levity to an otherwise serious space. I can picture this lining the wall behind a bar or as an accent wall in an office.

Jungle Dream, Black and White

8.

I love tassels! They feel both whimsical and elegant and this wallpaper makes me think of an Egyption bazaar. This is quite repetitive so I’d personally use it in small doses….perhaps above a board and batten feature.

Tassels, Gold (on sale right now!)

9.

This wallpaper makes me dream of drinking sweet tea in a southern kitchen. I’d love to wake up to that sun filled kitchen with fresh air coming through the windows and peaches on the walls.

Peachy Clean

10.

I know, it’s another Palm Shuffle print! But I couldn’t resist this color combination. It makes me think of a modern Golden Girls house and I can see it behind a makeup vanity or as an accent wall behind a rattan bed.

Palm Shuffle, Creamsicle Blush

11.

Did you know that in addition to my giraffe and camel obsession, I also adore flamingos? I would use this in a sitting room, a bathroom or in a bar area. I can see myself now, drinking cocktails with these pink beauties.

Flamingo

Have fun decorating my loves!

XOXO
