Enchanting Stocking Stuffers (For Him)

I love buying gifts for people.  The excitement of finding that perfect present, wrapping it just so and then seeing their enjoyment.  There’s just nothing that can top that, is there?  Unfortunately I find it SO DIFFICULT to find new, fun stocking stuffers for the men in my life.  Each year I beg my husband for a list and all I get is “socks and underwear” or “tools.”  I understand how fun it can be to get a new tool but I can’t really fit a new table saw into a stocking.  And underwear?  BORING!  So each year I’m left to my own devices, sometimes I amaze myself with my creativity but most of the time I stress and never find anything I think he’ll really love.  This year I’ve decided that (as I crawl what feels like every page of the internet) I’ll curate a list of top stocking stuffers for him so some of you might benefit. (Some of the links below may be affiliate links)

The Cocktail Stocking:  C was a bartender for years and still plays one at home.

  •  Bourbon Lip Balm from Little Flower Soap Co. on Etsy:  C loves chapstick, he carries one in almost every coat, in his car and in my car.  Pairing chapstick with whiskey (something else he loves) seems like a win.
  • Simple Syrup Kit from Studio Neat:  I would accompany this with some herbs or citrus peel so C could infuse his own simple syrup.  He always says a good bar has plenty of fresh ingredients and the best bartenders infuse their own alcohol and simple syrups.
  • New York Times Book of Cocktails by Steve Reddicliffe:  C doesn’t actually need a book to tell him how to create a delicious drink, he whips those up all on his own.  However, he does love to learn new things and I have a soft spot for NYT drink recipes since it began my White Cosmo obsession back in 2002.  Also, this book will look divine on the coffee table.
  • Bar Spoon with Muddler from Crate & Barrel:  C believes in function over form…..I tend to lean more towards form.  With this gold bar spoon we both win.
  • Tiki Glass: Fun glasses are a must when friends come over for cocktails.  I’d include one or two of these in (or below) his stocking.

The Space Stocking:  C is always watching shows about the universe and loves to learn new bits of trivia.

  • NASA Tee:  C is a sucker for space and I think he’d look delicious in this vintage NASA t-shirt.
  • Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson:  C’s birthday is coming up and I got us tickets to see Neil deGrasse Tyson live, this book will be a fun follow-up.
  • Space Capsule Tea Infuser:  We’re more of a coffee couple but we love a good cup of tea now and then too.  C is much more likely to use the loose tea leaves I buy if he has this fun infuser.
  • Visions of the Future posters from NASA:  I like to decorate with vintage travel posters and these are perfect for C’s office.  I imagine him day dreaming about out-of-this-world travel destinations when he looks at them.  Click the link to download and print your favorite posters.
  • Constellation Socks:  These would check off C’s request for socks and I can picture him wearing them as a fun addition to a sharp suit.

The Useful Stocking:  Like I said, function over form.

  • Matador Pocket Blanket:  C always likes to be prepared, one of his first suggestions when we started dating was that I keep a bathing suit in my trunk at all times (you never know when an opportunity to swim might pop-up).  I think he’ll love this compact blanket so we can sit, picnic or stargaze anywhere.
  • The Undercover Cool Bag:  During the summer we tend to find ourselves in a lot of situations where we need alcohol and a waterproof spot for our phones.  This bag, while kind of pricey, seems like a perfect solution.  Perfect for kayaking, boating or floating.
  • Rollbe Click a cool measuring tool on Kickstarter.  I always carry a small tape measure in my purse, this is something C could easily carry in his wallet.
  • Charge Stream Qi Wireless Vent Mount:  C’s truck didn’t come with a GPS option so he uses his phone for navigation while he drives.  This vent mount will make it much easier for him to keep his eyes on the road.
  • Whiskey-Infused Toohpicks from Bespoke Post.  Something he would never buy for himself but a fun twist on keeping teeth clean.

I’ll keep adding to this list as I find more ideas!  As you can tell, I like to go with a theme, it makes it easier for me organize my ideas and create a story.

Comment below if you have any great stocking stuffer suggestions!

XOXO
