Is your Insta feed filled with people decorating for Christmas already? Did your neighbors have their Christmas tree up before Halloween? If ever there was a year when we need an early Christmas, it’s this year. But life goes by so fast as it is, doesn’t it? I don’t want to rush through seasons or holidays, I want to enjoy every moment.
I love to think of new ways to make the season special, details that people will appreciate and remember. This year, more than ever, I think we all need to renew the excitement of the holidays and find ways to make it magical, even if it looks different.
As the days get shorter and we start to spend even more time inside, creating spaces and rituals in our homes becomes even more important. Here are the things I’m obsessed with this fall:
There’s just something about rich colors, textures and flavors this time of year. Give me all the moody table settings, deep red accessories and the velvety sweetness of pumpkin pie. Let’s make the most of the darkness by creating cozy and relaxing retreats within our homes and make every day routine special by slowing down and savoring it. Dim the lights and use candles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bake those rich desserts you’re craving. Bundle up and have an outdoor fall feast.
Whatever you do to make the most of this season, I hope it brings you joy.
XOXO
