When you’re decorating a space it can feel overwhelming to find exactly what you want. I usually find myself in two scenarios: First, and probably the situation I hate most, every store and website has a variation of the SAME style product. As if there was a conference call regarding what was “in” and everyone made the change immediately. The second scenario is when there are SO many different options that you can’t find the “right” one. It’s like paralysis by abundance. Give me three choices and I can make my decision in a moment, give me a million and I will hesitate. FOMO, I guess.

Flush Mount Lighting

I just finished combing through ALL the flush mount lighting in the world (that’s how it feels!) and I’m sharing my favorites with you.

Flush mount ceiling lights can be SO boring. It can also be difficult to find one that’s big enough or bright enough for the room you’re designing. A good rule to follow, when choosing your ceiling light, is to add the width and length of your room together, the sum (in inches) is the size light your room needs. For example, if I have a room that’s 11’x12′ I need a light that’s about 23″ in diameter. Anything much smaller or bigger than that usually won’t look right.
