I’ve doubled down on cozy festiveness this year. I have Christmas lights and decorations in pretty much every room of the house and am not afraid to have the Christmas lights on at all times. There’s just something about warm white lights, glittering decorations and fresh pine that brings me joy and peace. Christmas music is playing at all times…..literally the only time of year I can listen to the same song, sung by different artists, 500 different times and not go insane. Candles are lit whenever possible and we’re taking nightly walks to appreciate all of the outdoor lights our neighbors have put up. It’s fun to think about all we’ll do next year, when parties and community merriment can resume.
But right about now, we’re ready to get into some mischief. I mean, there really wasn’t even an opportunity to get on the naughty list this year, since we barely left the house. But, I’m ready to stay up until midnight to try to see Santa Claus, just to add a little excitement. Who needs gifts?
Even if you’re not ready to take such drastic steps you can still add some spice to your life with this week’s cocktail. Make a batch and let me know what you think!
