My mother is a rock star. Yours too? Awesome, let’s celebrate the heck out of them this Mother’s Day (which is May 9th, incase you missed it).
My mother, who taught me marriage wasn’t a necessity but dancing was, that color is a source of happiness and inspiration, that being kind doesn’t mean being weak, that family is everything and that being smart is sexy as hell, is tough to buy for! She deserves a villa in Italy, the sunroom off her kitchen that she’s always dreamed of, perfect weather, the scent of fresh lemon’s wafting through her windows, the perfect cup of coffee every time she wants one, and perpetual rainbows on her walls from the crystals she hangs in her windows. She deserves everything she wants in life and more. I wish I could give it to her.
