There’s something exciting and magical about each new season, isn’t there? The anticipation of all the things you love to do, the beauty that comes with the season, new plans and projects you’ve dreamt up. (Need ideas? Check out my Enchanting Spring Suggestions here.) What better way to make the most of warmer weather and longer days than by having a picnic? Also, April 23rd is National Picnic Day so I obviously needed to round up my favorite picnic finds.
When I think of picnics I think of butterflies, bumblebees and lady bugs, gingham blankets, wicker picnic baskets and cold, sweet wine. I imagine laying on a blanket laughing with friends or reading a good book. Picnics feel like a pause in time, where you can stare up at the clouds and appreciate the sun shining on your face. How often do we allow ourselves moments like those? Not often enough. And let me tell you, you deserve those moments. You deserve sparkling laughter, quiet contemplation, to enjoy the sounds of birds and trickling streams. You deserve time to unwind, connect with nature and get back in touch with yourself. And, with this past year of COVID-19, we all deserve to make the very most of this spring and summer.
