Festive Fridays: Blood Orange Sparkler & Vanilla Blossom Mocktail

There’s a certain energy on New Year’s Eve, isn’t there? I envision décor that sparkles, people and cocktails that are effervescent and big dreams being dreamt. That New Year energy spurs us to make changes, let go or begin something new. I’ve always loved writing down my desires for the new year and burning it, a symbolic gesture that I’m releasing them to the universe. I also like to think about all of the other people around the world who might be doing the same thing.

My desires are pretty much the same each year, the details may change but the spirit behind them remains: relentlessly pursue happiness and joy. I want all of us to experience that buzzy energy you get when you’re excited about something, MULTIPLE times this year. I want each of us to have soul deep contentment on the regular. When we cry this year, I want it to be for happy reasons. When we have to experience pain or disappointment, I hope we all have a community that rallies around us and helps us through it.

My hope is that the most contagious thing in 2022 is our laughter.

To help you ring in this new year (and new energy), I’ve created two New Year’s Eve concoctions just for you.

If you want to serve this in champagne flutes:

  • Add one ice cube and shake until the ice cube is gone
  • Split the contents between two champagne flutes
  • Add 4 drops of rose water to each glass
  • Top each glass off with the orange lemonade soda water

XOXO
